Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that gently encourages a person’s system back toward its own unique balance. It always supports the life process. Because of this a Reiki treatment can potentially benefit anyone, whether he or she is healthy and wants to stay that way or is addressing any kind of health concern. The list of benefits is long and very personal, both because people are imbalanced in different ways and because they notice and value different changes. The effects of Reiki are subtle and far-reaching. Part of Reiki’s influence may be that the enhanced sense of well-being it brings inclines us toward other ways of living and acting that are better for our health. Feeling better encourages us to make healthier food choices, get adequate rest and exercise, and to express our emotions more clearly and honestly in our relationships. As more and more people receive treatment and learn to practice this gentle healing art we are seeing another of Reiki’s hidden gifts - a greater understanding and appreciation of oneself and one’s spiritual life. Reiki helps bring us to a greater awareness of our own goodness and our connection to a God of unconditional love.
- Reiki (ray-key) is painless and non-invasive.
- Reiki practitioners use light touch on the energy centers that affect the physical body systems such as circulation and respiration.
- Reiki can relieve stress, headaches, colds, and general digestive disorders.
- Reiki is used to support the life process and complements medical treatment of conditions such as cancer and arthritis; chiropractic, and acupuncture procedures.
Since her introduction to Reiki energy in 2003, her life path centers on sharing the gift of Reiki healing with others - adults and children. Her Reiki practice enables her to work with people who want to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually. She offers instruction in the three levels of Usui and Karuna® Reiki as well as Reiki treatments.
Marita’s life journey has focused on the integration of spirituality and human life. She believes that each of us has a spiritual purpose here on earth, which makes her a very special addition to the staff of the Integrated Health Concepts clinic.
