Medically Appropriate:  Natural remedies are a wonderful option, yet there are times when the situation may require a more synthetic, invasive approach first.  Example:  50 yo WF who presents with chest pain and has an EKG suggestive of ischemia (possible heart attack).  If the patient agrees, and we would would strongly encourage them to, we would arrange emergency consultation with a cardiologist for cardiac catheterization.  Herbs, supplements and other alternative modalities are not appropriate if used alone in this situation.  Together we will make the most medically appropriate choice for you and your situation.
